Upon the customer’s request, this piece is Made from spectacular white oak that’s full of natural character. with knots and random grain pattern consistent throughout the wood, it only felt right to take that feeling of the material’s “raw” character and lean into the natural theme that it was calling for.

A flower felt right.

The aprons, or pieces that line the main frame, are shaped to resemble a petal-like form, which creates a prominent design feature of this commission and enhances the theme of “nature” that was present from the material itself.

Sitting comfortably in the customer’s entrance hallway, this piece is a wonderful way to immediately create a sense of peaceful beauty in the home, like a flower.
